Hello Friends!
For some reason, as I wrote my newsletter yesterday, things kept mysteriously disappearing. Old drafts hijacked revised ones. Pictures appeared in triplicate or vanished completely. My beloved heard me grumbling, shrieking, and—maybe a few times—swearing at my computer.
A ghost intervening? My own inability to master technology? But no. Mercury is in retrograde! April 2-25. Mercury retrograde attempted to drive me mad.
And so there’s sunlight instead of skylight, bittersweet instead of cozy, and you wouldn’t know that selling my ancestral home that had been in my family for over 100 years broke my heart unless I wrote you this PS.
Also, I wanted to be sure you knew that I received no compensation for sharing my rainy day survival gear, though I should because I rave about it so often.
More rain predicted here in NYC today. And only (gulp) twenty more days of Mercury in retrograde. Prepare appropriately!
Ann
I think it’s the cloud (computer cloud, not actual rainclouds). I was having really strange email issues yesterday.
I’m in the process of downsizing my mother this month, after a couple of previous moves. I felt a bit at sea when we moved them out of our childhood apartment a few years ago. The good news is that the memories remain. Wherever your family gathers becomes home.
I am so getting one of those rain hats. Also, thank you for the shout-out -- and the warning about Mercury.
