Three Things, Special International Edition…
Greece! France! Italy! Ireland! Kathmandu!
Where I’m Teaching…
Hello, Friends! I’m sending this special edition newsletter in response to all the emails I’ve been receiving asking about where I’ll be teaching in 2026-2027.
This is the international edition; the US edition will arrive in a couple weeks. I wanted to send the international one first because I know that travel takes some planning.
The traveling hat is going to be busy!
One of the unexpected perks of being a writer is that I get to also teach writing. And sometimes I get to teach writing in far flung places!
If you are interested in studying with me, I hope you will consider hopping a plane and meeting me somewhere fabulous in the next year.
Below, a list of all the places with links to their websites. If you’re a reader but not a writer, feel free to skip this special edition. Or just read for the fun of it. I’ll be back next week with a new installment of my regular Three Things.
In September, I’ll be at Rosemary’s House in Halkadiki, Greece from September 13-20.
Straight from Greece, I’ll be flying to Barcelona to hop at train to beautiful Collioure, France to teach at Karen Karbo ‘s amazing Come to Your Senses from September 21-25. (Note: I am filling in for a writer who had to cancel so if you see a different name listed, it is actually going to be me!)
Then in March, I’ll be at Spannocchia, my happy place in Tuscany where I’ve been bringing writers for over a decade.
The dates are March 13-20, 2027 and we are already almost full! So please email spannocchiawritersworkshop@gmail.com if you’d like to join us.
In May, I’ll be in Dingle, Ireland from 14-28 with a great faculty, lots of pubs, crab toes and mussels, and a rainbow or two. The website isn’t updated yet but contact info is correct.
For the most far flung of all, I’m honored and excited to be at the Himalayan Literature Festival and Writers Workshop in Kathmandu from May 29-June 5 with my wonderful husband Michael Ruhlman. Details are below. If you drop my name, you get 20% off!
If you’d like to study with me and want a little adventure, there are lots of opportunities in the next year!
I hope I’ll be writing with you and eating souvlaki, or sardines, or pasta, or fish and chips, or dal bhat…
As always, thank you for reading! I’ll be back next week with Three Things I’m Writing, Knitting, and Thinking.

Hey, to anyone reading this who is thinking, "tempting!" let me put my finger on the scale for you. I attended Ann's Spannocchia workshop eight years ago. Ann is a terrific teacher. I ate well, slept well, hiked the countryside in my free time, made two friends who are now some of my dearest. And the work I did there? Three books now: two published, one on it's way.
Dingle is so tempting…
