A particularly stellar edition, Ann. You are a true gem.

OK, well, had I not already been a huge fan (thanks, Geneva Writers Group!), this post alone would have converted me. Gilmore Girls! Knitting! And, not with an exclamation point, grief--which stays with us, no matter how long it's been, and I do wish more people understood this. Can't wait to preorder the book. A blessing on your head--and Michael's!

Knitting does the same for me! Especially in work calls: without the knitting, I am surfing or on my phone and definitely not paying attention.

Also Team Logan. :)

Can’t wait to read Marianne’s latest! And I’m also a Gilmore Girls fan. Also team Logan, but I do love Milo Ventimiglia.

Love, love, especially about grief. Today would have been Mike’s 80th. I wondered in my journal if I would ever stop grieving. As you shared, most likely not as long as I walk this earth without him. Thank you dear Ann

Team Logan, obviously! How fun is this!

It’s almost as if these well-intentioned (I hope) people missed the meaning of your memoir, down to the title. I’m afraid humans, myself included, are forever trying to tidy up the narratives of others. An understandable impulse, but one we must resist.

You’ve inspired me to take up knitting! We will see how far my patience allows me to get. I’m surprised no one caused a fuss about knitting needles on a plane (I tried bringing a mattarello as carry-on from Bologna and a security guard was having none of it. 🤌)
