My father would say "Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where them birdies is". Who knows where he got it!

Congratulations on your new book. That must be an incredible feeling to see it.

I'm not a knitter, but I'm so glad it brings you comfort and happiness.

I just finished my first baby hat for a friend and daughter of a college friend. It goes with a baby blanket I finished a few weeks ago. I love to knit while binging on Netflix, etc and stick to simple patterns. Keeping the cats away from the yarn is a constant struggle.

I’m sure the sweater will be beautiful. I still haven’t started the one I schlepped to Dingle last year. Intimidated by the pattern. I just started another simpler sweater that you knit in the round from the bottom up. And there is nothing better than cats in empty boxes.

I'm the same way with February - I have some anniversaries that month that my body always remembers before my mind does. Every single damn year, I forget, and my body reminds me. I hope the sweater turns out beautifully ♥️

Oh dear Ann, I love your excitement opening that box filled with your new book. I teared up too, it's like the birthing process. And I just started knitting again, a simple scarf, but I miss it and the focus and presence that happens when I knit. Yes, a wonderful project as Gracie's anniversary approaches. Sending love❤️

Hello Ann! I am so happy I landed on your page. Loved seeing your reaction and hearing your voice. I love it when joy is known, it's almost more special, than joy that is just discovered. Ha, I am a 'birdies is ' girl too! I am thrilled for you and your new book! I cannot wait to read it! I shall carry it around with me and tuck into the shady parts here and get lost in your words. So very happy for you.
