Amazing pictures and a great hat! I wish I could discipline myself to pack lighter and manage with a carry on, but I haven’t succeeded yet…

Like you, I will not check luggage after an almost ruined honeymoon. I once went to China to teach for a month with just carryon luggage (and a clothes washing bag that lets you do laundry in any sink). Beautiful place. Excited to get to your book on my stack. ❤️

I love the days when your and Michael’s substacks appear in my feed! There’s such a sweetness in they way they seem to chat with each other, giving readers a slightly different take on shared food and work and travels, both takes so interesting, so smart, and so loving. I especially love your pic grid of the traveling hat— my wife and I are perhaps a decade behind you two in life, and I just can’t wait to hit the road with her and my tiny suitcase and my perfect hat.

Hi Ann,

As a knitter, avid reader and traveler (I just returned from a trip to Scotland- Shetland in particular, and saw “your” Royal Scotsman at Waverly station :) I am really enjoying reading your Substack letters.

I just looked up the link to the S-Zone travel tote. Looks perfect - and quite reasonably priced. Which size is this? I need to trim my packing down to just carry on!

I just came back from Italy, where I managed 4 regions in 3 weeks going only carry on. It’s a challenge, but worth it! 🧳
