Thank you for sharing photos of your home. I love seeing other people’s houses. Love seeing their photos & artwork, love seeing what books they have. Love seeing what fun and interesting things are in their homes.💜
PS. My husband has Guatemalan linens from the 1940’s that were his parents’ and looking at your pillows has given me the idea of what I could do with them if I undburied my sewing machine.
Adorable apartment and so very homey. Your sweater is great. Knitting saves me all the time and I knit more than ever. I loved The Stolen Child and it warmed my heart to see Afragola mentioned since that is where my grandfather was from. He was my favorite grandparent, had a wine cellar in his basement with not only wine, but canned peaches which were what appealed to me as a child. He also was a cook and had a cast iron stove in the basement of his house in Ithaca, NY, and fried sausages down there. The wine/canning cellar had a key to it and I could only go in there when he took me. He died when he was about my age—76/77– and I have missed him ever since. He was such a warm talented wonderful human being.
Years ago, one of my friends organized a monthly “stitch and bitch” in the West Village. It eventually evolved into a sip and stitch. We regrouped after the election in 2016 to make hats for the Women’s March. Extremely therapeutic.
When you're in Belfast you should pop into our favorite spot, Rollies! It's a dive bar w/ the best food and friendliest staff. We spent a year up there on a project and went almost every day. So good! https://www.rolliesmaine.com/menu/
Knitting! I saw a TV news show this morning from San Francisco where a counselor was talking about self-care during "times like these" when everyone is being hit with more change/news/what-was-that-all-about? than ever before. She said that deep breathing WHEN COMBINED WITH KNITTING is one of the most beautiful solutions for self care! And by the way, you look terrific in that sweater!
Love your comfy sweater and cozy apartment ❤️

Wow! They must be gorgeous!

I always mess up if I sip and stitch!
Same. We inevitably ended up sipping more than stitching.
I love the sweater. I was just reading about the knitting classes in Bryant Park. Maybe if it cools off a little I will go over there.

Thank you for the great recommendation!
I think you're going to love it. I forgot to mention that it's featured in the movie of Stephen King's Thinner. Report back but we love it!
Ann Hood, The Stolen Child -- so gripping, so moving! Thank you for writing this story!
Pam! Thank you!
Great apartment!
Thank you!
Love seeing your apt and a glimpse of my meat tea towel being enjoyed!
You’re always with us, Leslie 🩷
Do the cats go back and forth?
From September through May we are primarily in NYC. So they only travel in summer and holidays.

The world should knit!
